KANdidates FSE Council
At KAN are always striving for more inclusive and sustainable solutions at FSE and UM in general -
and we do so with great enthusiasm and vigor. From the demand for more study spaces, more crossfaculty
contact to reflection weeks for everyone and a more diverse and contemporary curriculum,
we are advocating for your wishes, ideas and interests. But housing and wellbeing are also very close
to our hearts and been a focus of our work. Here at KAN we work collaboratively to find the best
possible solutions for all of us, in every spectrum of student life.

A university where you truly feel supported? That’s my goal!
Hi! I’m Demi, a third-year UCM student, committed to making UM a place where student wellbeing, inclusivity, and sustainability come first. Since starting my studies, I’ve worked to ensure student voices are heard, first on the KAN Party board and later on the University Council. Last year, I represented students nationally as chair of the Dutch National Student Association, working directly with the Ministry of Education. Now, I’m back in Maastricht, ready to make sure your voice is heard. Together, we can create a university where every student can thrive!
