KANdidates FASoS Council

At KAN are always striving for more inclusive and sustainable solutions at FASoS and UM in general -
and we do so with great enthusiasm and vigor. From the demand for more study spaces, more crossfaculty
contact to reflection weeks for everyone and a more diverse and contemporary curriculum,
we are advocating for your wishes, ideas and interests. But housing and wellbeing are also very close
to our hearts and been a focus of our work. Here at KAN we work collaboratively to find the best
possible solutions for all of us, in every spectrum of student life.

Hi! I am Lena, a second year European Studies student passionate about making FASoS a space for every student to learn and grow. To achieve this we need to enhance the disability aid and facilities to make the university accessible to all students and promote wellbeing initiatives to our student body even more. I also want to advocate for financial accessibility by working on making readings and other class essentials available without students breaking the bank. Finally, I am eager to promote sustainability in every aspect (environmental, societal, cultural,...) to make our faculty ready for todays and tomorrow's students.

Hey everyone, I’m Stepan! I am 20 years old, and hold Belgian, American, and Russian nationalities but grew up most of my life in Switzerland :)

Whilst FaSOS has been an amazing community and home for my university experience, there is still room for progress. As a top priority: I would strongly advocate for the inclusion of silent study spaces in the faculty, and push the faculty to remain open until 9pm on all days. I will act to be your voice in the faculty, and make FaSOS a more inclusive, work-friendly and sustainable community!

Hey everyone! I’m Chiara from Austria, studying at FASoS. I love the strong sense of community in our faculty and would be honored to represent and stand for its students. I also want to improve our study environment—spaces like the Common Room need some work to make them more inviting and functional. Let’s keep FASoS the best faculty in Maastricht and make it even better together!

Hey everyone!!

My name is Lara, and I'm a current second-year European Studies student. As much as I love our degree and faculty, I’m also aware that it is not perfect! If I get elected, I am going to bring all of your concerns to the council, and this promises a bi-monthly meeting with me  where you can talk to me about both problems of our faculty and university wide (with snacks of course). I will also organize monthly clothing swaps at the uni!

My main plan: be a voice for you! be a voice for the climate!
