NovUM FPN Council
Valeria Chistyakova
Hi, I’m Valeria, and I’m running for Faculty Council!
As a dedicated psychology student, I want to help create a more balanced, accessible, and student-centered academic environment. Let’s make your voice heard and bring practical improvements to our faculty!
My key goals:
- Improve accessibility & flexibility of course materials (e.g., recordings, slides uploaded early on Canvas & PebblePad)
- Rethink the FPN Bachelor’s rhythm: shorter periods with exams + reflection weeks to reduce stress and allow for GPA implementation
- Build “winding down” spaces near the faculty/library (e.g., white noise booths) + extend Randwyck library hours to support wellbeing and productivity during exam weeks

Your voice, my mission!
My name is Sofi Tirana, and I am running for the Faculty Council. As a dedicated psychology student and activist, I value our shared intellectual and emotional journey at Maastricht University. I aim to represent your thoughts, concerns, and ideas to drive meaningful change.
My main goals:
• Advocate for student well-being by expanding mental health resources and fostering a supportive culture.
• Enhance communication between students and instructors through clear, timely feedback.
• Promote collaboration by strengthening partnerships between students and faculty.
• Empower students with workshops on practical skills, personal growth, and academic support.
