NovUM FSE Council
Tralalero Tralala
Hi, I’m Tralalero, a cappuccino enthusiast and I’m running because I want to make student life more elegant, energetic, and slightly more Italian. Here are the main 3 points I want to focus on:
- Expand Cappuccino Access Across Campus (more coffee machines, better foam quality, and emergency cappuccino availability before 9AM lectures)
- Bring More Dolce Vita to Student Life (longer lunch breaks, more sunshine energy, and a general reduction in unnecessary academic suffering)
- Improve the Style and Spirit of FSE (better vibes, stronger confidence, and decision-making guided by espresso, passion, and dramatic hand gestures)
Maryam Hammam
I am Maryam, a first-year MSP student. My main priorities are:
1. Amplifying the voice of students: I want to raise your concerns, empower EPCs, and ensure that student needs are met.
2. Improving the courses: Students should not have to wait months for their grades or initiate appeals through various organizations. The quality of classes and timetables must be improved, and the standards within FSE must be raised.
3. A better campus: I want our campus to become more inclusive for all students. Students deserve affordable, vegan, and halal options.
Claudia Magis
Hi, I’m Claudia, a UCM student, and I’d love to represent you at FSE! I care about making our faculty more connected, open, and truly student-driven.
I want to:
- Make the student council visible and approachable, so students actually feel represented
- Build a real FSE community, both socially and organisationally, with more communication between programmes
- Ensure student feedback leads to real improvements across all programmes
Together, we can make FSE more open, connected, and student-focused!
Céline Reintjes
Hi, I’m Céline, a DSAI student and I’m running because I want to make student life more transparent, organized, and enjoyable for everyone. Here are the main 3 points I want to focus on:
- Expand International Opportunities (more options for the exchange semster and possiblilty to do internships (abroad) as part of the curriculum)
- Bring more affordable food options to the Randwyck campus (affordable and healthy meals at the cafeteria and more healthy snack options on the campus)
- Improve the Organisation at FSE (recorded lectures, improve skill class quality and better communication between students and the faculty)
Marie Foster
Hi, I’m Marie, a Circular Engineering student working to make FSE more connected, supportive, and student-focused. I care about how we’re informed, how fairly we’re treated, and what it feels like to spend our days on campus.
My Priorities:
- A stronger campus community: More cross-faculty events, affordable food, and greener, welcoming spaces at Randwyck.
- Fair policies: Our Rules and Regulations should support learning, not add stress. I will push to revise strict rules like 100% attendance for skills courses.
- Clear communication: No more chasing information. Students deserve transparency, especially around the EER and how to access support.
Groll Sophie
Hi, I'm Sophie, a Business Engineering student. I'm running to improve students live at FSE.
I'd really appreciate your vote! Here's what I'd like to focus on:
1. Campus that delivers "affordable food & better study spaces"
2. Better connection between programmes "more exchange and getting to know other students"
3. Clear structure "fair policies across all programmes, the same for everyone"
Max Thompson
Hi, I’m Max, a student from MSP. I’m running to bring more enjoyment, clarity, and organisation to FSE, and to advocate for other students. Mainly, I’m focusing on:
- Accessible, up-to-date information for specific programmes and all of FSE, so that students can actually take advantage of UM’s resources and know who they need to contact.
- Clear, fair, adaptable policies that support students, including improved AI procedures, and appropriate organisation of student associations.
- Randwyck campus improvements, namely a wider variety of affordable food and more places to relax with friends.
Maëlys Breton
Hello everyone! My name is Maëlys, and I’m a first-year student at UCM. By running in these elections, I hope to make FSE a better place for all of us. Here is what I am fighting for :
· Strengthening communication between FSE students and UM staff to allow a better understanding of our study environment.
· Improving access to affordable food on campus, my priority will also be to provide FSE student with more diverse and healthier food options.
· Enhancing student well-being and comfort in study spaces on campus in order to have better academic outcomes.
Tijn van Heesewijk
Hello, Tijn here! Since I talk to a lot of classmates, I hear a lot about the ongoing problems. I would love to represent FSE students in the council!
I advocate for:
- Quality of education: one final moment to evaluate the knowledge of a course is too little in my opinion. There should be at least two.
- The campus is also very boring and not 'living'. Randwyck should be greener and should possibly contain a supermarket closer than Lidl, and cafetaria food should be more affordable.
- Lastly,
