NovUM FPN

Dear students of FPN,

As candidates of NovUM, we want to protect your rights as students and listen to your concerns and demands! Our party focuses on

- Internationalism, Well-being,  Education, Housing, and Sustainability

The upcoming academic year will potentially bring about major changes in regulations concerning the intake of international students and the availability of English-taught programs. Maastricht University thrives from its international community and we will therefore do our best to prevent its demise at all costs. We will do this by exploring possibilities of integrating international students into the environment by providing extensive language courses, but it is equally as important to create awareness about the broader context of decolonization.

Our goals for next year include changing the relationship between the university and the food provider, Eurest, so that we as students have access to affordable and sustainable food. We already succeeded at organizing political actions in which we distributed affordable high-quality food to students and we plan to expand on this further.

Additionally, we aim to improve the well-being of students by organizing FPN community events, because we believe that community in a university is as important as its education.

A crucial objective for the forthcoming year should be to provide support to students as they navigate their academic challenges. Especially with Academic skills students have been struggling with for years.

Last but not least, this year should be a start to a greater transparency of the student council. Our goal as student representatives is to reconnect with students, proving that we are their side, that we hear them and ready to help.

Don't hope for change, vote for it!

• Provide academic skills support for students following the old psychology program. The new curriculum is not a justification for neglecting students needs!
